Bulgaria’s Parliament will violate the Constitution if it Allows a Referendum on the Euro

The referendum, which was initiated by the pro-Russian party "Vazrazhdane" to postpone the adoption of the euro, cannot be held legally, if we speak in the field of law. Prof. Hristo Hristev, professor of EU law, stated this to the National Radio.

The EU criticized the Bans on Imports of Ukrainian Grain

The European Commission on Monday criticized the decision of several Central European countries to stop the import of grain from Ukraine, DPA reported, quoted by BTA.

Poland, Slovakia and Hungary have in recent days announced bans on the import of wheat, oilseeds and other agricultural products from Ukraine, with which they have a border.

Greek man arrested in Thessaloniki for drug dealing, facing extradition to Germany

Police on Monday announced the arrest of a Greek man in Thessaloniki in northern Greece who was wanted in Germany for drug dealing, based on a European arrest warrant. 

The 39-year-old had an arrest warrant issued against him by Germany after 447.88 grams of cocaine were found on his business premises in February last year. 

Slovenia joins EU action against Hungary over anti-LGBT law

The Slovenian government has decided to join the European Commission's lawsuit against Hungary over its anti-LGBT law. A number of member states and the European Parliament are supporting the Commission's legal action at the EU Court of Justice over what is deemed a discriminatory law.

The European Union has its own issues. It is still however a popular resort for those seeking some form of respite in the wake of the deadly train collision at Tempe. After all, who else would have spent 800 million euros on the Greek railways? We can safely assume no one.
