Bulgaria ranks last in the European Union (EU) in online holiday booking, Eurostat statistics for 2017 show.
In the EU in 2017, 50% of internet users said they had booked their vacations online. Only 17% of the Bulgarian population planned their vacations this way.
Eurostat: Bulgaria Ranks First in the EU in Terms of Road Accident Rates
The number of road traffic victims in the European Union in 2017 is around 25,000 or 50 per 1 million inhabitants, according to Eurostat data released today.
The most fatal cases are the share of passengers and drivers of cars (46%), followed by pedestrians (21%), motorcyclists (15%), cyclists (8%) and other forms of transport.
About 30% of the Europeans without a Leave
On average, 28% of European citizens won't t be able to afford even a week of vacation this summer, according to Eurostat. Despite the high percentage, the situation has improved compared to five years ago. In 2013, 39.5% of European citizens over the age of 18 couldn't afford to spend a week on a vacation.

Half of Greeks unable to take a week’s vacation
Half of all Greeks did not have the financial means to take even a one-week vacation last year, compared to an average rate of 28.3 percent in the 28-member European Union, according to a survey by the bloc's statistical service Eurostat.
Greeks are not the only Europeans facing such constraints.

Eurostat: Nearly 1/3 of Bulgarians Could Not Afford a One-Week Vacation in 2018
For many in the European Union, summer means rest and travel. But 28.3% of the EU population over the age of 16 could not afford a one-week vacation away from home in 2018, according to Eurostat data released today.
In 2013, this share was 39.5%.
