Greek euro exit, debt rescheduling not on agenda, says Moscovici

Questions of Greece exiting the euro or rescheduling its debt are not on the agenda, European Economic Affairs Commissioner Pierre Moscovici told Le Monde newspaper in an interview published on Wednesday.

Moscovici added that the European Commission wanted Greece to remain in the eurozone.

The inflexible payments Greece has to make to its creditors this year are set to peak in the summer. January is the easiest month, as the repayments due then amount to just 515 million euros, but the dues will increase almost every month that follows, reaching their highest in July and August, when 8.8 billion euros will have to be paid out in total.

Cyprus plans two international debt issues this year, its finance minister said on Monday, seeking a firmer footing in markets after a near meltdown in 2013.

The island nation is preparing for two issues under its European Medium Term Note (EMTN) program, Finance Minister Harris Georgiades said.

Dinar declines by 0.5 percent, exchange rate at RSD 121.7415

BELGRADE - The dinar declined by 0.5 percent on Tuesday, making the official medium dinar-to-euro exchange rate RSD 121.7415, the National Bank of Serbia (NBS) has announced.

The Serbian national currency has dropped by 0.4 percent against the Eurozone currency compared to a month ago and by 5.5 percent compared to a year ago.
