Prime Minister Florin Citu said today that a report by the Health Ministry is needed to detail investments in the medical system after the devastating Colectiv fire in 2015. "Here we should ask ourselves why families are asking for patients, especially burn patients, to be transferred abroad.

Notting Hill Carnival canceled once again

Notting Hill Carnival, billed as Europe's biggest street party, has been cancelled for a second year in a row due to the COVID-19 pandemic, organizers said on June 18.

"This has been an incredibly difficult decision to make," they said in a statement. "Everyone involved in the event desperately wants a return to the road where Carnival belongs but safety has to come first."

Women's volleyball team defeats S Korea, qualifies for 2021 FIVB semifinals

Turkey's national women's volleyball team defeated South Korea to qualify for the 2021 FIVB Volleyball Women's Nations League semifinals.

Turkey won their eleventh match 23-25, 25-20, 17-25 and 18-25 on June 19.

They will face Brazil in their fifteenth match in the tournament on June 20 in Rimini, Italy.

Ljubljana – The organisers of the Slovenian Expo 2020 pavilion invited Slovenian companies to join the world exposition in Dubai with an online event on Wednesday. “Expo 2020 will likely be the only major international event for a long while, thus we would like for Slovenia to use it well,” said Tomaž Kostanjevec, director of the SPIRIT agency.
