Bulgargaz Announces Proposed 6.5% Increase in December's Natural Gas Price
Bulgargaz, the public gas supplier of Bulgaria, revealed its proposed final natural gas price for December at 87.50 BGN/MWh (excluding excise duty and VAT), marking a 6.5% increase compared to November. The company emphasized that while this hike is lower than initially anticipated, it represents a significant rise for the upcoming month.
Personal use of fuel from occupied north of Cyprus
Fuel is permitted to be transported across the Green Line in Cyprus under certain conditions, the European Commission's competent representative said at a press briefing.

Bulgargaz offers a Gas Price of BGN 124.35/MWh for February
BGN 124.35/MWh (excluding excise duty and VAT) is the final proposed price for February 2023 at which Bulgargaz EAD will sell natural gas to final suppliers and to persons who have been issued a license for the production and transmission of thermal energy.
Despite lower excise duties, fuel prices higher
Regulated fuel prices will rise by several cents on 30 January despite a lowering of excise duties, the third time in a row that prices will increase under the administrative pricing model in place in Slovenia.
Regular petrol will be almost 7 cents more expensive at EUR 1.355, while the price of diesel is going up by almost 5 cents to EUR 1.529.

Govt confirms EUR 106m energy voucher scheme, lower excise duties and network fee cuts
Ljubljana – The government has confirmed a EUR 200 million package of aid for households and companies to mitigate energy-price hikes. An EUR 106 million energy voucher scheme for households will be coupled with aid for companies and farmers worth EUR 70 million, lower network fees for electricity, and lower excise duties on heating oil and petrol.
Cigarettes more expensive
Ljubljana – Slovenian tobacco prices rose today under the changes to excise taxes the government confirmed in September. A pack of 20 cigarettes is now 10 cents, or around 2.5%, more expensive. The excise duty on cigarettes rose from EUR 120 to EUR 123 per 1,000 cigarettes, while excise duties on other tobacco products also increased.

Bulgarian Customs Agency Notches Record Revenues
The National Customs Agency notched up a record revenues of over 1 bln leva in August 2021 from excise duties, import VAT and customs duties, the Agency said in a press release on Friday.
The Agency's monthly revenues exceeded 1 bln leva for the first time in history. The result was achieved even though there were no regulatory changes or tax increases.

Bulgargaz Insists on 13 Percent Rise in Natural Gas Price, Warns of Repair Works along Turk Stream Pipeline
In the application submitted to the Energy and Water Regulatory Commission (KEVR) on May 11, Bulgargaz requested a 13 percent increase in the price of natural gas, compared to prices in May, or BGN 42.54. (excluding access fees, transmission, excise duty and VAT costs). This became clear during today's discussion on the price of blue fuel in KEVR.
