Exclusive economic zone

Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis addressed the 79th UN General Assembly tonight.

Defense Minister Nikos Dendias emphasized the right of all Dodecanese islands to establish an exclusive economic zone (EEZ) and territorial waters up to 12 nautical miles, as stipulated by the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea.

This year's Medusa 24 exercise, which will take place throughout the area surrounding Crete, reaching as far as Kasos and Karpathos, highlights Greece and Egypt's extremely close relationship, as well as cooperation with key players in the EU and the wider region of the Eastern Mediterranean and Middle East.
