Huawei says it welcomes EU guidelines on 5G security

Chinese telecoms equipment maker Huawei on Wednesday welcomed the European Union's 5G guidelines that are likely to limit its business in Europe, but which fall short of a US call for a total ban.

"This non-biased and fact-based approach towards 5G security allows Europe to have a more secure and faster 5G network," Huawei said in a statement.

Telenor Bulgaria Holds Second 5G Trial

Telenor Bulgaria held its second 5G trial during which three couples of amateur cooks were monitored and helped remotely by chef Andre Tokev from Burgas. The chef was mentoring the amateur-cooks over 5G  through VR glasses and a live video feed captured with a 360-degrees camera placed in the kitchen in his restaurant in Sofia where the amateur cooks prepared food.

Within two years in Bulgaria there will be a 5G mobile network. The new technology will reduce the Internet connection's latency and the speed will be over 10 times higher than the 4G network, NT reported.

5G will allow the development of future technologies - related mobility, digital medicine and intelligent factories.

Turkey to cooperate with Japan on 5G technology

Turkey will cooperate with Japan on implementing cutting-edge 5G technology during President Recep Tayyip Erdo?an's two-day-visit to the country, officials have said.

According to information from Turkey's Information and Communication Technologies Authority (BTK), a joint declaration has been signed between the agency and Japan's Internal Affairs and Communications Ministry.
