Facebook finally officially launches encryption end-to-end for application Facebook Messenger.

This security encryption is intended for voice calls and video calls.

Users of Facebook's popular messaging platform, Messenger, face a problem with messaging and real-time communication. That's what Facebook announced on its official website.

According to the downdetector, the platform has stopped working and faces problems unknown to date.

The social network Facebook has recorded conversations of its users, according to a report cited by BGNES. The company gave other companies records to transcribe what was said.

Facebook said Friday it is trying to get its messaging apps to be friends, allowing encrypted missives be exchanged no matter which of its services are used, reports AFP. 

The leading social network is behind free, stand-alone smartphone apps Instagram, Messenger and WhatsApp.

Each service is popular, but users have to be in the same application to exchange to connect.

You'd think Facebook would be faster at copying itself. Five years after Facebook Messenger took a cue from WhatsApp and Voxer to launch voice messaging, and four months after TechCrunch reported Instagram  was testing its own walkie-talkie feature, voice messaging is rolling out globally on Instagram Direct today.

Facebook today announced a new version of its Messenger chat app designed for children ages six to 12. Called Messenger Kids, the new app does not require a Facebook account — due to federal law, users under the age of 13 cannot legally sign up for Facebook.

The Athens International Airport “Eleftherios Venizelos” received some distinctions during the Corporate Excellence Awards that took place at the Aegli Zappeion, Thursday. The airport was among the winners in the category “Best Social Media Use” for its “ATH Messenger: Bot service via Facebook messenger from the Athens International Airport”.

Facebook announced June 30 it had opened its first African office in Johannesburg as part of its efforts "to help people and businesses connect" on the continent.

The Free Facebook Messenger Video Chat is already available in Bulgaria. The social network management has announced that the service still needs to be refined but is currently available in almost any country around the world. 

Users that would like to use the video chat need to update their Messenger apps. The service is now available for both Android and iOS and is free of charge. 

Facebook Inc said it is adding a new feature to its messaging app that allows friends to send and receive money through it.

Users can tap or click a dollar icon in a new chat window to send money to their friends, after they link a Visa or MasterCard debit card issued by a U.S. bank to their accounts.
