The award-winning photographer, a victim of the recession forced to relocate to London, showed how a thriving city changed. Shops run by generations of families shut down, making way to bars and fast food restaurants – or, worst still, remaining empty.

Grecian foods continuing US growth

Who says the gyro market is cooling down in the States, if anything the craze seems to be developing into a permanent fixture on US diners’ plates.
Illinois-based Grecian Delight Foods has emerged as one of the fastest growing Greek ethnic food producers in the United States, now holding some 40% of the share of the gyros market in the major market.

Study finds that some poor countries have better diets than the rich

The Lancet and Lancet Global Health on obesity detailed the worsening food-consumption habits in 187 countries around the world. Strangely enough, it was found that people in some poor and middle-income countries have better diets than those in rich countries where major Western snack and soft drink makers are targeting children.
