A top terrorist of the FETÖ in Central Asia was nabbed abroad in an operation by Turkish intelligence, Turkey's president said July 5.

Turkish security forces have neutralized more than 18,000 terrorists since July 24, 2015, the national defense minister said on June 25. 

Hulusi Akar, accompanied by Land Forces Commander Gen. Ümit Dündar, Naval Forces Admiral Adnan Özbal and Air Forces Commander Gen. Hasan Küçükakyüz visited a military base in the eastern province of Malatya.

A Turkish court on Thursday decided to seize the assets of 12 fugitive suspects, including ringleader of FETÖ, in the 2007 murder case of a prominent Armenian-Turkish journalist unless they return to the country, according to a judicial source.

A Turkish court delivered the reasoned decision on Jue 17 on the case of the 2012 plot of the FETÖ, known as the group's first overt attempt to overthrow the government.

A Turkish court on June 8 said it will seek the extradition from Germany of fugitive Can Dündar.

Neither Dündar nor his lawyer attended the first hearing of the high-profile case at Istanbul's 14th High Criminal Court.

FETÖ ringleader Fetullah Gülen's nephew Selahaddin Gülen, who was nabbed in Kenya and brought back to Turkey with an operation conducted by the Turkish intelligence agency, has said he wants to get the benefit from the effective repentance provisions in the law.

A Turkish court handed down lengthy sentences in a "football match-fixing case" involving a plot by the FETÖ from 2011.

The 23rd Istanbul Heavy Penal Court issued its final verdict to former chairman of Samanyolu TV (STV) Hidayet Karaca, who received a sentence of 1,406 years for "breaching the privacy of communications," "forgery of official documents" and "slander."

The Turkish intelligence nabbed a member of the FETÖ abroad and brought him back to Turkey, a security source said on May 31. 

It was learned that Selahaddin Gülen, who is a relative of FETÖ's ringleader Fetullah Gülen, fled abroad with the help of the terror group's covert structure, said a security source who asked not to be named due to restrictions on speaking to the media.

Turkish forces have neutralized 1,162 terrorists in operations within the country and outside its borders this year, the National Defense Ministry said on May 30. 

The terrorists were neutralized in 181 large- and medium-scale operations, ministry spokeswoman Maj. Pınar Kara told a news briefing.
