Fikret Otyam commemorated in exhibition
Painter, writer and photographer Fikret Otyam, who died last year in August, is commemorated in an exhibition in honor of his 90th birthday.
Otyam, who made great contributions to Turkey's social, cultural and artistic accumulation, has left a wide collection of photos, books and paintings behind him.

Ottoman sultans' edicts, Atatürk photos on sale in Antalya auction
The Antalya Antik Müzayede, an auction house in the Mediterranean province of Antalya, will hold a sale of two precious edicts by two Ottoman sultans, along with rare photos from the funeral of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the founding father of modern Turkey, on May 15.
Fikret Otyam laid to rest after a ceremony
A ceremony was held yesterday at the Ankara Contemporary Arts Center for famous painter, journalist and author Fikret Otyam, who died on Aug. 9 at the age of 89 in the southern province of Antalya.
The ceremony began with a moment of silence and continued with a speech delivered by Republican People's Party (CHP) leader Kemal K?l?çdaro?lu.

Turkish artist Fikret Otyam dies
Famous Turkish painter, journalist and author Fikret Otyam died on Aug. 9 at the age of 89 in the southern province of Antalya.
Otyam, who had been receiving treatment for renal failure for some time, was taken to hospital in January.
His wife, Filiz Otyam, said the renowned artist would be buried on Aug. 10 in Antalya.
