Bulgarian Cinema Celebrates 100th Anniversary
Bulgarian cinema celebrates its 100th anniversary on Tuesday, its birthday being the showing of the movie "Balgaran e galant" ("The Bulgarian Is Gallant") in 1915.
The comedy is the first Bulgarian black-and-white silent movie, which depicts the random meeting between Balgaran and a young lady.

Aleksandar Josipovic bids farewell to dance career
BELGRADE - Dance artist Aleksandar Josipovic, the only Serb that performed at the Moulin Rouge, decided to stop dancing actively after 25 years of successful career.
The eight-time national champion, Josipovic achieved some of the highest attainments at global level, received a number of recognitions in the country and abroad where he successfully performed for a decade and a half.

Legendary Swedish actress Anita Ekberg, immortalised by her performance in Federico Fellini's 1960 film "La Dolce Vita", died Jan. 11 near Rome, media reports said. She was 83.
The voluptuous film star, a longtime resident of Italy, died in a hospital outside the Italian capital, according to the website of the daily La Repubblica.
