The EU Finance Ministers are attending the informal EuroGroup meeting in the Slovak capital of Bratislava, Friday, with the progress of the Greek fiscal adjustment program being at the centre of talk.

The International Monetary Fund will begin its regular review of the Bulgarian economy from September 7 to 16, announced the Ministry of Finance.

The regular mission of the fund will be headed by Reza Baqir who, together with experts, will meet representatives of the Ministry of Finance, the Bulgarian National Bank and other institutions.

Bulgaria's central government will be able to extend interest-free loans to cash-strapped local governments, the Parliament has decided.

Serbian Finance Minister Dusan Vujovic is in Brussels on Wednesday for a meeting with EU finance ministers, Tanjug has reported.

They will "discuss six European Commission recommendations aimed at improving Serbia's economic policy."
