UBS delays results over Credit Suisse merger
Switzerland's biggest bank UBS on June 7 pushed back the publication of its quarterly results by over a month as it completes its acquisition of fallen rival Credit Suisse.
The bank pushed the publication of second quarter results initially planned for July 25, to Aug. 31.

NBS increases key policy rate to 6.25 pct
BELGRADE - The National Bank of Serbia (NBS) Executive Board decided on Thursday to raise the key policy rate by 25 bp to 6.25 pct.
It also raised the deposit and lending facilities rates to 5 pct and 7.5 pct, respectively.

Banks defend their rate spread
The spread between interest rates on loans and deposits is decreasing significantly, mainly after the recent increases in interest rates on new term deposits by Greek banks, according to the Hellenic Bank Association (HBA).

Interest rate spread at Greek banks widened in April
The interest rate spread between new deposits and loans increased to 5.60 percentage points in April, as the weighted average interest rate on new deposits remained almost unchanged at 0.25%, while the corresponding rate on new loans increased to 5.85%, the Bank of Greece said on Tuesday.

Banks benefit from activity abroad
