Five parked cars and several garbage bins were torched in the central Athenian neighbourhood of Exarcheia on Thursday morning, police said.

The first car was located at the junction of 3rd Septemvriou and Trikorfon Streets, another three burned on Zaimi and Alexandras Streets and a fifth was on Solomou Street. It was not clear who was behind the attacks. 

On Day Five, efforts persist in locating 17-year-old Ivana from Dupnitsa. She had been missing since the evening of February 22nd when her parents reported to the police in the town that she had not returned home.

A devastating fire tore through a 14-story apartment building in Valencia, Spain, claiming the lives of at least four individuals and injuring 14 others, including a child and six firefighters. The blaze erupted on the 4th floor, swiftly spreading to higher levels and prompting a frantic evacuation effort.

A house fire in northern Athens' Palaio Psychiko suburb saw firefighters recover one deceased elderly man from the blaze.

According to the fire service, the fire broke out on Pygasou Street and prompted the response of nine firefighters and three vehicles.

Firefighters responding to an apartment blaze in Iraklio on the island of Crete on Wednesday found an unconscious 73-year-old woman.

Six firefighters and two vehicles participated in the extinguishing operation on Parou Street and the woman was hospitalized via ambulance, as reported by the fire service.

A fire broke out at an abandoned building in Athens' Moschato neighborhood on Friday, the fire service has reported.

The blazing building on Artemidos Street prompted the response of 18 firefighters and six fire engines as well as a hook-and-ladder truck.

Several power outages were also reported in nearby buildings.
The London Fire Brigade said in a statement: "Firefighters are currently responding to reports of smoke coming from a building in Warwick Lane".

A somber night unfolded for Sliven residents as a fire tragically claimed the life of a man, while a woman battled gas exposure in an apartment block in the Druzhba district. The distressing events prompted the evacuation of residents from the affected block, leaving the community grappling with the aftermath.

All staff members and about seventy patients were evacuated and there were no casualties or injuries.
The fire broke out between 19:00 and 20:00, and the roof structure and the building above the thermal pools are on fire.

An investigation has been launched into a fire that broke out in a ground-floor storage space in the courtyard of the Maximos Mansion, the prime minister's official residence, on Saturday morning.

The fire, which broke out at 6.20 a.m., was quickly contained and caused only minor damage to the structure.

A contingent of 24 firefighters and seven tenders attended the scene.
