Bulgaria: The State of Emergency remains in Chepelare municipality
The partial state of emergency declared in Chepelare municipality remains in force due to the large fire near the village of Hvojna.
During the night, teams of the fire brigade were on duty on the spot, and the deputy mayor of Chepelare Stoyan Kuzmov called on the volunteers who want to help in extinguishing the fire - to be in the town today at 8 a.m.

Police has arrested two people in connection with the wildfires that started near the town of Avlonas, north of Attica, on Thursday.
Three fires broke out within three hours in the area. Two of them were extinguished while the third in the Agios Georgios area is ongoing.

Firefighter in Kefalonia charged with arson
A seasonal firefighter is accused of intentionally starting a fire in a forested area in southern Kefalonia on August 13.
The suspect appeared in court on Wednesday where he was ordered to remain detained and was given time until Friday to present his defense.
