Russia's Food Imports Ban Costs Bulgarian Producers EUR 6 M
Bulgaria's food industry has suffered an estimated BGN 12 M (EUR 6 M) in damages as a result of Russia's ban on food imports from the EU, Agriculture Minister Desislava Taneva has said.

'Obese cat' in Turkey loses 5.5 kg in 4 months
A fat cat in western Turkey has shed more than five kilograms in four months after its owner hospitalized the pet.
Named "Ta? Kafa" (Stone Head), referring to a Turkish expression for a dumb person, the five-year-old cat was recently taken to the animal treatment center of Nilüfer district in the Bursa province by its owner.

Agriculture Ministry: Romania may export frozen pork to China
Romania may begin the export of frozen pork to China, after pork producer Smithfield Romania has received the approval to be registered in the country in question, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MADR) informed.

The 1.20 minute YouTube video clip showing a little girl bursting with laughter as her mum eats tortilla chips has gone viral as it makes people forget their problems and focus on the simple joys. Timothy W states that chips are the only crunchy foods that get the baby to laugh, though he admits that water drinking also amuses the baby.
