The Book of Stones | Athens | To July 31
Yiannis Papadopoulos' exhibition of oil paintings at Kalfayan Galleries has been extended to July 31. The show, titled "The Book of Stones," is inspired by the stones along the Glafkos River in Patra, the artist's birthplace. Much of his work centers around objects that symbolize Earth, and this exhibition continues with that theme.

Olympiakos holds Viktoria Plzen away
Olympiakos snatched a goalless draw at Viktoria Plzen on Tuesday in the first leg of the second qualifying round of the Champions League.
In its first competitive game of the season the Piraeus giant played a decent enough game in the Czech Republic, despite the number of absentees it had for various reasons, and secured a positive result ahead of the second leg in Piraeus next week.

Hellenic Football Federation (EPO) President Vangelis Grammenos informed national coach Angelos Anastasiadis on Monday he is no longer needed at the national team set-up, but the two sides have not yet agreed on a way for the termination of their contract, nor has a successor been found yet.

Injured Fortounis faces six months out of action
Olympiakos captain and Greece's midfield linchpin Costas Fortounis has suffered a serious knee injury that rules him out of action for an estimated six months. He will be operated next weekend.
The influential midfielder suffered a rupture on his cruciate ligament and is going to undergo an operation on July 20. He is expected to return to action for Olympiakos after Christmas.

Chief Architect of Warsaw Comes to Sofia for "Talks About the City"
Chief Architect of Warsaw, Poland Marlena Happach arrives in Sofia to participate in the fourth event of "Talks about the city", Sofia Municipality announced.
The organizer and host of the event is the Department of Architecture and Urban Planning.
The event is on Thursday 20th of June at 6 pm at the Military Club and the theme is "Walking City".
People in Gotse Delchev Protest because of the Suspended Access to Internet and TV
A protest against the action which was held today by GDBOP in the offices of Cable Sat West was held last night in Gotse Delchev.
Dozens gathered in front of the company's office to protest that half of the city is without cable television and Internet.
