Mesut Özil signs for Turkish club Başakşehir
Former Real Madrid and Arsenal midfielder Mesut Özil signed with Istanbul Başakşehir on July 14 after leaving fellow Turkish club Fenerbahçe.
Istanbul Başakşehir said the deal with Özil was for a one-year contract with an optional extension for another year.

Man City star Gündoğan weds in Turkish hometown
World football giant Manchester City's Turkish-German midfielder İlkay Gündoğan, who tied the knot with Moroccon-Italian model Sara Arfaoui in Copenhagen in May, have held a traditional wedding ceremony in his hometown in the northwestern province of Balıkesir.

Olimpija Ljubljana ends short-lived cooperation with Prosinečki
Ljubljana – Olimpija, Ljubljana’s foremost football club, has terminated its cooperation with former Croatian superstar Robert Prosinečki who was hired as the head-coach in March this year. The club confirmed on Friday it is also parting ways with sporting director Mladen Rudonja.
Three state-owned electricity companies get new supervisors
Ljubljana – The government dismissed at Friday’s correspondence session the supervisors at three state-owned electricity companies, ELES, Borzen and SODO, as well as at DRI, a consulting and engineering company specialised in infrastructure projects. It also appointed their successors, who are taking over on Saturday.
