Serbian currency slides to fresh low

BELGRADE -- The Serbian dinar (RSD) dropped 0.2 percent against the euro (EUR) to end the week at RSD 121.2160 for one euro on Friday.

This is the new lowest value of the domestic currency this year.

BELGRADE - The Serbian dinar dropped 0.2 percent against the euro to set the official middle exchange rate at RSD 121.2160 per one euro on Friday, its lowest since the beginning of the year, according to latest data on the website of the National Bank Serbia (NBS).

Russian President Vladimir Putin urged the central bank and government on Dec. 4 to take "tough action" to stop speculation on the ruble  after the currency hit new all-time lows this week.
