Turkey, Kazakhstan to boost defense industry cooperation

Turkey and Kazakhstan on Feb. 4 discussed opportunities to strengthen cooperation in the defense industry sector. 

In a statement, Kazakhstan's Defense Ministry said Turkey's Deputy National Defense Minister Muhsin Dere met with Kazakhstan's Defense Minister Nurlan Yermekbayev as part of a two-day working visit to Kazakhstan.

Medical supplies sent by Turkey arrive in Kazakhstan

Medical supplies sent by Turkey arrived in Kazakhstan on May 11 to help fight the novel coronavirus outbreak.

Turkey sent 150,000 face masks and sanitizers, said a statement by the Turkish Embassy in Nur Sultan.

"We believe that medical supplies will support our Kazakh friends in the fight against the COVID-19 outbreak, which has become a global threat," the embassy added.

Right now, in modern circumstances where there are heightened tensions among the global players, for Kazakhstan, the biggest challenge we see is to contribute to the reduction of these tensions among these key-players, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan Roman Vassilenko told AGERPRES in an interview.
