Turkey supports a U.N.-backed political process in Libya, the country's presidential spokesman said on Sept. 18.       

Turkish Foreign Ministry on July 1 warned its citizens to stay away from conflict zones in Libya.

Turkey's foreign minister spoke via telephone with his Russian counterpart April 18 and discussed recent developments in Libya, according to diplomatic sources.

Turkish Foreign ministry raised concern over the tension in Libya with a statement on April 7.

The Libyan Embassy in Bulgaria has submitted a protest note to the Bulgarian authorities on the instructions of the Libyan Foreign Ministry regarding the detention of the Libyan oil tanker "Badr" by the Bulgarian authorities, reports Libya Observer. 

The Bulgarian coastguard police has used force to evacuate the Libyan crew on the Libyan vessel Badr that is docked in a Bulgarian port, a joint statement by the National Company of Sea Transport and Ports Authority revealed Saturday, reports Libya Observer. 

Turkey’s special envoy to Libya said on Feb. 16 that a national consensus government should be established in Libya as soon as possible, without any foreign intervention.

Libyan government forces have arrested four suspects responsible for kidnapping three Turkish workers in Libya, according to a local official. 

Turkey delivered 22 tons of medicine and medical supplies to Libya on May 24, the Turkish Foreign Ministry has said.

Turkey has reopened its embassy in the Libyan capital after having closed the facility in 2014 due to the deterioration in security in the country.
