Turkey vows to 'resolutely' protect its own, Turkish Cyprus' rights in E Med

Turkey will resolutely continue to protect its own and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus' (TRNC) rights in the Eastern Mediterranean, the Turkish Foreign Ministry said on Oct. 2. 

Greece and the Greek Cypriot administration are engaged in "unilateral and provocative activities" that threaten regional peace and stability, the ministry said in a statement.

Turkish Cyprus wishes to be world’s trade center

It is the greatest desire of Turkish Cypriots to make the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) one of the most important trade centers in the world, its prime minister said on Sept. 22. 

Ersan Saner told Anadolu Agency that his government keeps relations with Turkey at the highest level and it is satisfied with the economic and cooperation work between the two countries.

FM Çavuşoğlu meets Turkish Cypriot counterpart in New York

The Turkish foreign minister on Sept. 19 separately met with Turkish Cypriot and Indonesian counterparts in New York on the sidelines of the 76th session of the U.N. General Assembly.

"Ahead of #UNGA76 meetings, consulted as usual w/my brother FM Tahsin Ertuğruloğlu of #TRNC," Minsiter Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu said on Twitter.
