Türkiye has expressed satisfaction with recent talks on counterterrorism cooperation with a U.S. delegation.

The discussions, held on April 22, were convened in line with an agreement reached during a strategic mechanism meeting between the two nations in Washington last month.

The U.S. administration is not telling the truth while sending letters to Congress or informing its people, Turkey's foreign minister said on Oct. 9 in response to Washington's decision to extend the national emergency executive order in Syria.

The head of the Turkish delegation of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) on April 23 condemned an invitation given by France to former Democratic Union Party (PYD) co-leader Salih Muslim to a side event.

Ankara will not swap two Czech suspects held in custody for former Syrian Kurdish Democratic Union Party (PYD) leader Salih Muslim, who was detained in Prague over the weekend, Turkish Justice Minister Abdulhamit Gül said on Feb. 27.

Former Democratic Union Party (PYD) co-leader Salih Müslim, who was being sought with a “red notice” by Turkey, was caught on Feb. 25 in the Czech capital Prague, state-run Anadolu Agency reported. 

Former Syrian Kurdish Democratic Union Party (PYD) co-chair Salih Muslim, who was added to the “most wanted terrorists” list by the Turkish Interior Ministry on Feb. 12, is expected to hold a press conference in the Belgian capital of Brussels on Feb. 14. 

If the U.S. wants to keep ties with Turkey, it should withdraw its support for the People’s Protection Units (YPG), Deputy Prime Minister Bekir Bozdağ said on Feb. 10.

The Turkish military’s cross-border military operation against the People’s Protection Units (YPG) in the Afrin district of Syria does not create a distraction from the fight against the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL), Turkish Presidential Spokesperson İbrahim Kalın has said.

Turkey will cooperate with the U.S. in Syria only if Washington ends its support to the Syrian Kurdish People’s Protection Units (YPG) and takes back the arms it has provided to the group, Presidential Spokesperson İbrahim Kalın has said.
