The French Metz Grand Est National Orchestra will come to Türkiye in solidarity with the musicians affected by deadly earthquakes in early February that rattled the country's south.

The special concert will take place on July 6 at the Cemal Reşit Rey (CRR) Concert Hall in cooperation with Institut français Türkiye and the Istanbul Foundation for Culture and Arts (IKSV).

Institut Français in Türkiye presents a new exhibition, titled "Scordatura Istanbul," which is an audio and visual tour in megapolis Istanbul. Painter Patrick Singh and musician Jérôme Fohrer's dual perspectives allow visitors to see and listen to the world city Istanbul in a different way.

Istanbul will host an EU-based archaeology festival, European Archaeology Days, conducted by the French Institute for Anatolian Studies (IFEA) and the Institut Français Istanbul, between June 17 and 19.

The entrance to the festival, which will be conducted at the Institut Français in the Beyoğlu district, will be free of charge.

The Foreign Affairs Minister (MAE) celebrates on Wednesday the International Francophonie Day, with Romania following to host this year several international events which will focus on digital development in the academia of the Francophone states.

Romania will continue to be part of the Francophonie, as it is intimately tied to these values, Romanian state officials assured at the conference "Centennial Romania's Francophone cultural model," which marked the 25th anniversary of organisational Francophonie in Romania, held in cooperation with the La Francophonie's Regional Office for Central and Eastern Europe (BRECO) and

Popular French singer Zaz will perform at the festival for francophone music Francofolies, which will be held in the Bulgarian city of Blagoevgrad between 17 and 18 June.

This will be the third concert of Zaz in Bulgaria after her performances in 2012 in Sofia and 2013 at the Spirit of Burgas.

Bulgaria's capital Sofia is celebrating Days of France from Friday through Sunday (October 16-18).

With support from Institut Français, which is co-organizing the event with the French-Bulgarian Trade and Industrial Chamber this year, the Days of France are going beyond exclusively gastronomic nature they had in 2014.

Countries in the region contribute to the enrichment of the Francophone cultural heritage and they can provide a significant experience with respect to the democratic transition, to the benefit of peace in the Francophone area, Minister of Foreign Affairs Bogdan Aurescu said on Friday, in his message on the International Day of Francophonie.
