Lufthansa Pilots Strike Continues, 10 Flights Cancelled
The strike of pilots working for German carrier Lufthansa will continue on Friday as well. Flights of the company to and from Sofia on Friday have been cancelled, announced Sofia Airport.
A total of 10 flights have been cancelled - 2 to Frankfurt, 3 to Munich and 5 to Sofia.

German carrier Lufthansa has cancelled its flights from Sofia to Munich and Frankfurt for another consecutive day, announced the press center of Sofia Airport.
There will be no Lufthansa flights from Sofia on Thursday as well due to the strike of the cabin crew.

Tens of passengers of carrier Bulgaria Air have been stranded at the airport in Frankfurt.
The aircraft did not take off for Sofia due to damage to the body of the plane, announced the director of the company Yanko Georgiev.
Fraport eyes boost in passenger numbers at Makedonia
Fraport has said that it intends to increase passenger traffic at Thessaloniki's Makedonia airport by 48 percent in the next decade, after 5.3 million passengers passed through Greece's second-largest airport last year.
"Thessaloniki is taking off," Fraport Greece said on Wednesday while presenting its plans for the biggest of the 14 airports it has leased in the country.
World's Biggest Plane to Arrive in Bulgaria
The world's biggest passenger aircraft is set to land at Sofia Airport on Sunday.
A Bulgarian pilot will be manning the plane which fits in 500 people and weighs 560 tons, its wing span being covering the width of a football pitch. Its tail is positioned on the level of the ceiling of an eight-storey building.

Lufthansa Strike to Cancel Flights Between Bulgaria, Germany on Wednesday
A strike of Lufthansa employees will cancel flights between the Bulgarian capital and the airports in Frankfurt and Munich on Wednesday.
Sofia airport informed that two flights to and from Frankfurt will be cancelled, namely the one departing at 6.40 o'clock (EET) and the one arriving at 13.15 o'clock (EET).

Air France has renewed its direct daily flights between the Bulgarian and French capitals starting from Sunday.
The flights between Sofia airport and Charles de Gaulle airport have been added to the airline's summer flight schedule and will be serviced between March 27 and October 29.
The flights will be carried out by an Airbus A319 with a capacity of 143 seats.
