Koç Holding and its subsidiary Tat Gıda have announced that they will sell out stakes in a local livestock company to a U.S. firm, marking Koç’s exit from the agriculture sector only three days after revealing the acquisition of its meat company Maret by sector rival Namet.

The tomato producers in Bulgaria plan large scale protests as they fear they will be unable to sell their produce. 

According to the national channel bTV, the producers in Petrich, one of the major tomato growing regions, are planning to throw their tomatoes on the road, because of the cheap imports from abroad.
