Cause of unusual children deaths in eastern city may be gene mutation: Doctors

A gene mutation has been detected in samples taken from a five-month-old baby girl of a family who saw three of their children die mysteriously in four months in the northeastern province of Kars, with several doctors saying this sort of mutation could lead to partial hearth enlargement, and thus immediate death.  

Zarrab's trade activities suspicious, says Turkey's official corruption probe report

A Customs Ministry report has shown that the import and export activities of several companies belonging to controversial Iranian-Turkish businessman Reza Zarrab were suspicious and should be investigated for possible money laundering, tax evasion and foreign trade manipulations. 

Graft probe prosecutors and judge to be put on trial

Turkey's highest judicial board has opened the way for the trial of two prosecutors and one judge responsible for the massive corruption probe of December 2013.

The 2nd Chamber of the Supreme Judges and Prosecutors Board (HSYK) gave permission for the trial of prosecutors Celal Kara and Muammer Akka? and judge Süleyman Karaçöl.

Prosecutor says Turkey's former ministers eased illegal money transactions to Iran

One of the prosecutors of the huge Dec. 17, 2013 corruption case, which embroiled many high-profile suspects including former cabinet ministers, has said the former ministers played two key roles in helping Iran break the U.S. embargo: Organizing fake documents, and making sure that Reza Zarrab remained the sole actor in the process.
