Parliament to brobe bribery claims but judges may be called on again

The government has proposed that a parliamentary inquiry be set up to investigate allegations that two ex-prime ministers and eight former ministers accepted bribes from Swiss pharmaceutical giant Novartis, with the likely outcome being that the case will be referred back to the justice system.

The former Radical Left Coalition (SYRIZA) government spokesman Gabriel Sakellaridis says he is “laughing” at ludicrous publications that want him “married” to an unnamed man that isn’t described but is pictured to be the Harvard-educated Panagiotis Angelopoulos, the lefty son of powerful businesswoman Gianna Angelopoulos-Daskalaki.

Bomb Goes Off outside Athens Building

No-one has been hurt after a bomb exploded near the Federation of Greek Enterprises' building in Athens, Geeece.

The blast occurred in the small hours of Tuesday near the Syntagma Square in downtown Athens where Parliament is located, local media outlets report.

Windows of nearby buildings were damaged by the explosion.
