Costas Karamanlis: The signing of the contract for E65 highway on Thursday
The contract for the northern part of the E65 highway will be signed tomorrow, as announced by the Minister of Infrastructure and Transport, Mr. Costas Karamanlis, speaking to Parapolitika 90.1 FM. "A very big effort has been made in the last 23 months, we have worked intensively to unblock projects that we found "stuck".
Metro: The great challenges of Line 4
The time for the public work project of the decade has arrived. The contract for the construction of the first phase of the new Line 4 of the Athens metro, which will connect the Veikou Grove in Galatsi with Goudi, will be signed tonight, in the presence of Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis.

Athens banks targeted in series of attacks
A series of attacks targeting banks across Attica took place early on Monday morning.
At 2.38 a.m. two ATMs and the facade of a Piraeus Bank branch in Agios Dimitrios were damaged by vandals.
That was followed at 3.39 a.m. by an arson attack on an ATM at the Eurobank branch in Galatsi.

ATHEX: Bourse index rises despite banks' drop

ATHEX: Benchmark edges ahead once again
The international buying spree that on Tuesday took the Dow Jones over 30,000 points in New York contributed to the Greek bourse's main index holding its ground and putting some distance between it and the 700-point mark, despite the profit-taking recorded by most bank stocks.

Greek stocks end positive, very quietly
Thursday's session on the Athens Stock Exchange was even more subdued than recent days, if that is possible.
In the end, the general index, which had been showing mild losses throughout, tipped over into positive territory, closing at 637.27 points, a gain of 0.36%. Late gains in OTE Telecom were the main reason.
Turnover was €23.61 million on volume of 16,373,894 shares.

ATHEX: Investors get ready for rebalancing
On a day when Wall Street and the London Stock Exchange remained closed, the Greek bourse secured a rather satisfactory turnover of almost 50 million euros on Monday, with traders opting to position themselves ahead of this Friday's upcoming index rebalancing. Leading the benchmark to strong gains were bank stocks, which were oversold in previous sessions.

Athens arson spree was coordinated, police say
The barrage of arson attacks across Attica at dawn Monday was centrally coordinated, according to the Hellenic Police (ELAS), which also cite a call posted on an anti-establishment website on May 15 for an escalation of attacks by anarchists.
