Man gunned down in northern Athens

A man was shot dead by unknown assailants in the northern suburb of Vrilissia on Wednesday afternoon, which authorities have described as the latest victim in a turf war for "supremacy at night" between rival gangs.

The victim was reportedly sprayed with bullets by occupants of a car while walking near his house in shortly after 3.30 p.m. 

Drug squad busts two heroin-dealing gangs based in Kalamata

The Greek Police?s drug squad announced on Saturday the arrest of 21 suspects believed to belong to two drug-trafficking gangs who were active in the Peloponnese and Attica, dealing at least 170,000 euros? worth of heroin.

Authorities have also issued charges against an additional 123 people who are suspected of involvement.

Two killed in Sweden gang-related pub shooting

Two men were killed and more than 10 were wounded after gunmen burst into a pub firing automatic weapons in a suspected gang-related attack in the Swedish city of Gothenburg late March 18.
      
Customers in the bar were watching football on television when at least two gunmen, reportedly wearing skeleton masks and yellow high visibility vests, launched their shooting spree.

Seven arrested in northern Greece in drug crackdown

Seven people were arrested on Saturday in Thessaloniki, northern Greece, on charges of illegal drug possession.

They were charged after they were found carrying unspecified amounts of illegal psychotropic drugs.

Meanwhile, Thessaloniki authorities arrested three people in connection with pending convictions and arrest warrants.
