After Goldman Sachs increases its earning per share (EPS) estimates for the Turkish banks in its coverage earlier this month, this time Bank of America (BofA) lifted its EPS for Turkish lenders.

"We continue to have a positive view on Turkish private banks," BofA said in a report released on Feb. 19.

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) on Jan. 14 said it has hiked its financial support to Turkey amid its fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.

"The Bank stepped up its financing in Turkey to €1.7 billion ($2 billion) in 2020 through 33 projects, from €1 billion in 35 projects in 2019," it said in a statement.

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) on May 20 announced a $55 million loan to Garanti BBVA, the second-largest private lender in Turkey.

Turkey's telecom giant Türk Telekom and Garanti BBVA, one of the country's largest private banks, have said they came under a cyberattack on Oct. 27.
