Kovacevic: Gas interconnectors strengthen Serbia's position as transit country
BAKU - State Secretary at Serbia's Ministry of Mining and Energy Veljko Kovacevic said on Friday in Baku that, by completing a natural gas interconnector with Bulgaria, Serbia had attained the possibility to connect to various gas supply sources, which he noted could improve its energy security and bolster its position as a gas transit country.

From Today: Bulgaria to begin Receiving Full Quantities of Gas under the Contract with Azerbaijan
Starting today, Bulgaria will start receiving the entire quantities of natural gas under the contract with Azerbaijan, the Ministry of Energy informed BNR. However, this will not happen through the Bulgarian-Greek gas connection, but at the temporary delivery point Nea Mesimvria. The interconnector is expected to be ready in the fall, according to the ministry's response.
The Greece-Bulgaria Interconnection started Test Gas Supplies
The Greece-Bulgaria gas interconnection (IGB) has started test gas supplies, the project company ICGB AD told Trend news agency.
"We have started test deliveries with real quantities of natural gas, as planned. However, this is not the beginning of commercial exploitation," the ICGB said.
Greece – Bulgaria NG pipeline undergoes last test
The small, in length, but strategically important IGB pipeline, which connects the Bulgarian system with the Greek natural gas transmission system and the Trans Adriatic Pipeline (TAP), will start commercial operation, next month, in July. Today (17 June) the pipeline will undergo final testing with the introduction of the last quantities of 1.5 million cubic meters of gas.
