Loss of investment in South Stream great damage for Serbia

BELGRADE - Serbian Minister of Energy and Mining Aleksandar Antic has said that Serbia has suffered great damage from the abandonment of the South Stream gas pipeline project given that the value of the investment stood at EUR 2.1 billion.

Stable gas supply in the long run is a crucial issue for Serbia, Antic told Radio and Television of Serbia on Tuesday evening.

LJUBLJANA, BANJA LUKA, SOFIA -- The Slovenian company Plinovodi, a partner of Russia's Gazprom, will continue the construction of South Stream in Slovenia, Beta reported.
