Strong Earthquake off the Coast of Costa Rica
A 6.8 magnitude earthquake was recorded last night off the coast of Costa Rica, not far from the capital of San Jose, the United States Geophysical Institute reported.
It has an epicenter 71 km southwest of San Jose at a depth of 10 km.

6.5 quake hits Costa Rica
A magnitude 6.5 earthquake was recorded along the Pacific coast of Costa Rica on Sunday night, the U.S. Geological Survey said.
There were no immediate reports of casualties or major damage after the quake, which hit near, San Jose, the capital. The National Weather Service said there was no threat of a tsunami.

Montenegrin police have filed criminal charges against a 21-year old man for driving his car at nearly 200 kilometers per hour on an 80 kmph limit road.
The man's driving license has also been temporarily seized.

Man Fires Gun, Kills Himself Outside Chinese Consulate in LA
A man fired gunshots shots outside the Chinese Consulate west the Filipinotown area of Los Angeles today and then shot and killed himself, authorities said, Los Angeles Daily News reports.
The shooting was reported about 6 a.m. in the 400 block of Shatto Place, said Los Angeles police Officer Drake Madison.
Almost 8000 California Residents were Evacuated From Fire
At the foot of the Sierra Nevada mountains, a hundred kilometers from the city of Sacramento, some 4,000 people have already been evacuated and another 7,400 are preparing for it. The fire is raging on an area of 20 km and has already destroyed more than ten buildings.
Governor Jerry Brown announced a state of emergency to help local authorities.
