China reopens world’s third busiest port after partial virus halt
China reopened a key terminal at the world's third-busiest cargo port on Aug. 25, after a shutdown to control the coronavirus caused major backlogs elsewhere and worsened export already extended delays caused by the pandemic.

The halt at the eastern Ningbo-Zhoushan port started two weeks ago, when a worker at its Meishan terminal tested positive for the disease.

Turkey, Hong Kong ink maritime agreement
Hong Kong and Turkey have signed an agreement that would allow Turkish seafarers to work in Hong Kong-flagged ships, according to a statement from the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure on Dec. 18.
Turkey aims to get the highest share of employment in the developing ship fleets in the world with its increasing training capacity, it said.

Wuhan: New COVID-19 Case in More Than a Month
The total number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in mainland China reached 82,901 as of May 9, while the total death toll from the virus stood at 4,633,
China has reported 14 new Covid-19 cases, including one from Wuhan in more than a month, where the outbreak was detected late last year. This took taking the number of infections in the country to 82,901, health officials said on Sunday.

All COVID-19 Infected People in the Chinese city of Huanggang were Cured
The last two infected with the new coronavirus in the Chinese city of Huanggang, Hubei province, were cured, BTA reported.
Since the outbreak of the virus in China, the city of Huanggang has registered 2,907 infected. 2782 patients were recovered and discharged from hospitals, 125 died.
Death spreads: Director of Wuhan hospital dies
The death toll outside China is five, with an estimated 73,000 people were infected worldwide, according to CNN.
Chinese neurosurgeon Liu Zhiming is the first director of the hospital to die from the disease.
