Unconscious man saved from burning building
Firefighters attending to a fire in an abandoned building in central Athens have pulled a man out of the structure.
The man was unconscious when firefighters found him.
A team of 10 firefighters with four tenders responded to the fire.

Cyprus and Croatia to send three firefighting aircraft
Cyprus and Croatia are to deploy firefighting aircraft to Greece through the EU-wide Civil Protection Mechanism, following an additional request from the General Secretariat of Civil Protection, to help battle wildfires that have intensified as the Kleon heat wave continues.
Cyprus has provided two Air Tractors and Croatia one CL-415 from the rescEU fleet of firefighting planes.
Firefighters displeased with govt firefighting bill
Ljubljana – A firefighters’ trade union is critical of the government-proposed changes to the fire service act, as it says it was not involved in the drafting of the amendments. Some of the proposals that had already been coordinated with the competent ministry in the past have been dropped from the latest version, the union noted.

Fire Near Kresna Defile Now Under Control (Updated)
The fire has been managed by the team of firefighters and volunteers and is now under control.
Georgi Parmakov, the director of the Blagoevgrad fire brigade, said that as long as the climate conditions remain constant and there aren't any strong winds, the fire will remain contained and eventually extinguished.
