Court rules PAO shouldn't get 7 mln euros for stadium revamp

The Court of Audit ruled on Tuesday that Panathinaikos soccer club should not receive 7 million euros from the Attica Regional Authority to improve its stadium at Alexandras Avenue in central Athens.

The court found that the transaction, approved by the previous Attica Governor Yiannis Sgouros, was not in the public interest.

Tripoli's military airport in Peloponnese to be opened to passenger traffic

A military airfield in Tripoli, in the Peloponnese, will be opened to passenger traffic, according to a joint decision signed on Tuesday by the ministers of Defense, Dimitris Avramopoulos, and Infrastructure, Michalis Chrysochoidis, ceding partial use of the airport to Civil Aviation Authority.

Trainose discounts for students

European Youth Card holders will continue to benefit from 12-euro train tickets on the Athens-Thessaloniki-Alexandroupoli and Athens-Kalabaka routes, it was announced on Monday.

The deal, signed between Trainose and the General Secretariat for Youth, foresees 3,000 tickets sold per month to card holders on certain intercity services.
