Organised crime and anti-terror prosecutors' searches at European Funds Ministry
The Directorate for the Investigation of Organised Crimes and Terrorism (DIICOT) prosecutors on Monday have completed 37 searches in several locations in Bucharest and the counties of Ilfov (ring around Romania's capital city) and Iasi (northeastern Romania) among which at the Ministry of European Funds (MFE), where they have taken several computers from.
Over 300 hectares of land flooded in Giurgiu county following heavy rains
As many as 186 hectares of pastures, 90 hectares of farmland and 30 hectares of forests were flooded in the southern Giurgiu county on Sunday, following the heavy rains.
According to Giurgiu Water Management Service, the submerged land is located in the rural towns of Vanatorii Mici, Bulbucata, Iepuresti and Bucsani.

DIICOT conducts searches in relation to Petrolul Ploiesti football club
Prosecutors of the Organised Crime and Terrorism Investigation Directorate (DIICOT) are conducting today several searches of addresses in the counties of Constanta, Prahova, Buzau, Salaj, Giurgiu, Braila and Bucharest City in a case of tax evasion and money laundering. The searches also regard managers of the Petrolul Ploiesti football club.
