Vucic: Global situation becoming increasingly difficult
KRALJEVO - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said on Friday the global situation was becoming increasingly complex and increasingly difficult because no end to the Ukraine war was on the horizon, and noted that, as a small country, Serbia must find a place for itself and survive.
Tourist visits in Serbia up by 18.5 pct y-o-y in February
BELGRADE - Serbia registered 18.5 pct more tourist visits in February 2023 relative to the same month of last year and the number of overnight stays was up by 21.5 pct y-o-y, according to figures released by the national statistical office.
Overnight stays generated by Serbian tourists were up by 8.5 pct y-o-y, while those generated by foreign tourists were up by 44.6 pct y-o-y.

Agreement signed on 175 mln euro EIB grant for Belgrade-Nis high-speed rail line
BELGRADE - The Serbian government and the European Investment Bank (EIB) signed on Thursday an agreement on a 175 mln euro grant for the construction of a Belgrade-Nis high-speed rail line.
The amount is the second tranche of a 600 mln euro EU grant for the project.
Mali meets with Pavlova
BELGRADE - Serbian Deputy PM and Finance Minister Sinisa Mali and European Investment Bank (EIB) Vice President for the Western Balkans Lilyana Pavlova agreed on Thursday joint projects were progressing well and were being carried out without problems.
Mali and Pavlova discussed projects underway in Serbia in collaboration with the EIB and the dynamics of their implementation.

BELGRADE - Serbian PM Ana Brnabic met on Monday with Lucia Puttrich, minister of federal and European affairs of the German state of Hesse.
Brnabic noted that the level of Serbia's relations with Hesse was high and that she especially appreciated the substantial trade volume between the two sides.
