More Shootings in Serbia: At least 8 Dead
In Serbia last night, 8 people lost their lives in two shootings, in two neighboring villages, local media reported. The incidents took place around 11 p.m. local time, about 60 kilometers south of the capital Belgrade, and at least 13 people were reported injured. Among them is a 21-year-old policeman, along with his sister.

A gunman apparently firing at random killed eight people and wounded 14 in a series of villages in Serbia, authorities said, shaking a nation still in the throes of grief over a mass shooting a day earlier. Police arrested a suspect Friday after an all-night manhunt.

Serbia’s Q1 real GDP up by 0.7 pct
BELGRADE - Serbia's real GDP was up by 0.7 pct y-o-y in Q1 2023, the Serbian national statistical office RZS said in a flash estimate released on Wednesday.
The RZS also said a more detailed GDP calculation for Q1 2023, performed at lower aggregation levels, would be published on May 31.

The teenager accused of killing nine people in Belgrade on Wednesday had a detailed plan, including a kill list, that was pulled together over a month, police said.
The shooting occurred at 8:40 am (0640 GMT) at an elementary school in Belgrade's downtown Vracar district.
