Danube Day 2014 campaign to aid flood victims
BELGRADE - The Danube Day campaign, conducted jointly by the Ministry of Agriculture and Environmental Protection - Republic Directorate for Water and the Coca Cola System, will this year be aimed at raising funds for the flood-affected regions, the organizers announced on Monday.

BELGRADE - The World Wildlife Fund in Serbia (WWF) released on Friday that a unified and more transparent approach needs to be taken on in flood management and added that the former flood areas need to be connected to rivers.
Water from Obrenovac could subside in five days
BELGRADE/OBRENOVAC - The water from the flooded Belgrade municipality of Obrenovac may subside in around five days and as of Sunday, the level of the Sava River may be expected to drop, the National Emergency Management Headquarters stated at the session on Friday.

Sava, Danube pose no threat to Belgrade
BELGRADE - There are no threatened areas in Belgrade, the Danube level increased by two centimeters in the last 24 hours, while the Sava level went up by one centimeter, Milos Milovanovic, director of the public water management company Beogradvode, told Tanjug on Friday.

Authorities and citizens will be on standby for four more days due to an announced surge wave on the Danube.
