Mountain Rescuers Aid Lost Boys in Vitosha
During the last 24 hours, mountain rescue teams carried out two operations. In the first instance, assistance was rendered to two 16-year-old boys in Vitosha who were ill-prepared for the mountain's conditions and season. Venturing towards Mount Aleko, they strayed off the trail, reaching a point where they couldn't proceed and contacted emergency services at 112.

103 snow removal machines are currently active within the Sofia Municipality.
Roads in the Vitosha Nature Park are presently inaccessible for cleaning purposes.
Only vehicles equipped with chains will be permitted to travel during daylight hours.

Bulgaria: The Vitosha Lifts will Stop for Maintenance until the Beginning of Winter
This weekend is the last of the season in which the lifts of Vitosha Mountain will operate. The facilities go into preventive maintenance until mid-December, according to a press release. During the entire summer season, 3 lifts operated on Vitosha - Simeonovo Gondola, Vitoshko Lale 1 and Vitoshko Lale 2.
National Parks, Mountains to Reopen for Visitors
Citizens will be able to resume visits to national parks, nature parks, mountains and similar places as Bulgaria's Health Minister Kiril Ananiev has issued a new order today, entrusting municipal mayors and district governors throughout Bulgaria to create an organized way for such visits.

A 35-year-old woman has died after jumping from the bridge on Vitosha Blvd over Bulgaria Blvd. This is reported by the Ministry of Interior press center.

Good Conditions for Skiing, Strong Wind High on Vitosha and the Balkan
There are favourable conditions for skiing, the Mountain Rescue Service to the Bulgarian Red Cross told Focus News Agency. The weather is unfavourable for hiking in the high parts of Vitosha and the Balkan Mountain Range due to strong wind. At Botev Peak, the wind is stormy. The lift facilities are open, the ski slopes were prepared.
Brown Bear and Her Little One was Shot by Camera in the Area of Vitosha
A bear with her little one was shot in the area of the State hunting site "Vitosha-Studena", reported FOCUS News Agency. The Regional Inspectorate was working on a case related to bear attack over a big beehive located in a private property in the region of the farm, within the limits of Vitosha Nature Park.
