Two earthquakes with magnitudes over 4 shake Turkey's Gökova Bay 

Two earthquakes with magnitudes of over 4 shook the Gökova Bay off Turkey's Aegean coast on Aug. 18, the Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD) has stated.  
 
The first earthquake with a 4.2-magnitude hit the Gökova Bay at 3.47 p.m. at a depth of 7 kilometers, according to AFAD.

Aftershock activity continues on Kos

An earthquake measuring 5.1 on the Richter scale hit the Aegean island of Kos at 10.42 a.m. on Tuesday, the Athens-based Institute of Geodynamics reported.

According to the institute, the tremor was part of aftershock activity following the 6.6 magnitude earthquake that shook the island last month.

There were no immediate reports of injuries or damage.

Magnitude 4.6 earthquake strikes off Kos island

Reports say a magnitude 4.6 earthquake has struck the area east of Kos island, near Turkey.

According to the same reports, the earthquake hit around 8.18 a.m. local time Monday with its epicenter located about 60 kilometres east of Kos. Its depth was measured at 10 kilometers.

There were no reports of injuries or damage.

Earthquake with a magnitude of 5.6 was registered in Chile, the European-Mediterranean seismic center reported. The epicenter was 25 km. To the north-east of the capital, Santiago, at a depth of 90 km.

The city is experiencing secondary shocks, the center added. So far there are no reports of casualties and destruction.

Ukraine to start receiving coal from US for first time

The United States is set to start shipping coal to Ukraine for the first time under a "historic" deal announced on July 31 that should help the crisis-hit nation end reliance on Russia.

The agreement inked earlier this month by U.S. firm Xcoal Energy & Resources and Ukraine's state-owned energy firm Centrenergo will see some 700,000 tons of coal delivered by the end of the year.
