The time limit for the public consultation on the draft law on-road vehicles expires at the end of the week. According to the draft, each car will need to have a compulsory passport and the control over the roadworthiness of the cars will be tightened, reports BNT. 

A court has ruled a two-year suspended sentence for Georgi Iliev, the pizza shop owner found guilty of the death of Yuliyan Georgiev, whose father heads Bulgaria's domestic security and counter-intelligence agency.

The Sofia City Court has found that Iliev failed to give way to Georgiev on April 02, 2014, as the latter was riding a motorcycle.

A 53-year-old man was shot several times and died of his wounds in the Bulgarian capital of Sofia on Thursday evening.

According to media reports, the victim was Veselin Stoimenov, whose past is often connected with the criminal group of brothers Vasil and Georgi Ilievi.
