Senior official Neculaescu attends EaP COVID-19 pandemic meeting

Senior strategic affairs official with Romania's Foreign Ministry (MAE) Dan Neculaescu participated on Thursday in a virtual ministerial meeting on the Eastern Partnership (EaP) that focused on EU support measures amid the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, as well as the current challenges in terms of misinformation.

Romania's Foreign Minister Teodor Melescanu attended a meeting of the Foreign Affairs Council (FAC) in Luxembourg on Monday, where current issues on the foreign policy agenda, such as the Eastern Partnership and the situation in Afghanistan, were discussed, according to a press statement released by the Romanian Foreign Ministry (MAE).

President Iohannis: Implementation of EU's agreements with Moldova, Ukraine and Georgia must remain a priority

President Klaus Iohannis on Friday stated that the implementation of the existing agreements between the EU and Republic of Moldova, Ukraine and Georgia must remain a priority and that the Union must support this process of implementation by providing technical and financial assistance.

Iohannis: We would like Riga summit to mark EU's consolidated relations with Moldova, Georgia, Ukraine

Romania's President Klaus Iohannis said Thursday that Romania is directly interested in the European bids of Moldova, Georgia and Ukraine, adding that the EU's Eastern Partnership Summit meeting in Riga is expected to mark the consolidation of EU's relationships with the three countries.
