ND on 2 parcel bomb attacks: Attempts to link us to target party will fail

Greece’s major opposition party New Democracy (ND) released a statement regarding the two parcel bomb attacks against European and IMF officials in the past two days stressing Greece’s international image had been seriously damaged. The statement alleged the two incidents attempted to frame ND by linking the two parcel bomb senders to the conservative party.

Greece's Citizens' Protection Minister Nikos Toskas told ANT1 television channel on Thursday that French authorities said a parcel bomb that arrived at the Paris offices of the International Monetary Fund on Thursday and left an employee with minor injuries when it exploded, had been sent from Greece.

Cyprus forecasts growth of 2.5-3 pct in 2017

Cyprus expects its economy to grow between 2.5 and 3 percent this year as it recovers from its recent financial crisis and bailout.

Finance Minister Harris Georgiades said on Tuesday the economy has rebounded strongly and is making up lost ground after the country sought out a multibillion-euro rescue deal from its eurozone partners to save it from bankruptcy in 2013.
