Greek, Polish PMs back von der Leyen for EU Commission President re-election

The prime ministers of Greece, Kyriakos Mitsotakis, and Poland, Donald Tusk, have signed a joint letter of support on behalf of the European People's Party (EPP) for the candidacy of Ursula von der Leyen, who is seeking a new term as Commission president.

Ursula von der Leyen Eyes Second Term as European Commission President

Ursula von der Leyen, the current President of the European Commission, has declared her intention to seek a second term in office. The announcement came during a meeting of her political party, the Christian Democratic Union (CDU), in Berlin. Von der Leyen emphasized that she enjoys the backing of the CDU's Bavarian sister party, the Christian Social Union (CSU).

Vucic: We had many important meetings in Munich

Vucic asks EC chief to influence Pristina to drop decision on payment transactions

DAVOS - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said in Davos on Thursday evening he had had a very good meeting with European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen during the World Economic Forum meeting and that he had asked her that the EU do everything in its power to influence Pristina not to stop payment transactions with central Serbia.
