The National Bank of Greece (NBG) presented its new logo in a press conference on Wednesday. Chairman of the Bank's board Gikas Hardouvelis pointed out that the new image of the Bank marks a new era and at the same time highlights the great change that occurred in the bank in recent years. 

National Bank's goal is to become a "platform of cooperations" exploiting international trends and technologies toward improving customer experience and expanding its clientele even further, Pavlos Mylonas, the bank's CEO, said on Friday.

On Monday, June 12, 2017 the Greek Court of Misdemeanors ("Plimeliodikeion" in Greek) unanimously proclaimed Gikas Hardouvelis innocent of all charges regarding his late submission of his Wealth-Report ("Pothen Esches" in Greek) for years 2012 and 2013.

Gikas Hardouvelis, a former finance minister, was acquitted on Monday of charges for failing to submit a declaration of assets ("pothen esches") form while he served interim premier Lucas Papademos, as an adviser from 2011 to 2012.

A council of appeals court judges on Wednesday indicted Gikas Hardouvelis, who was finance minister under the former conservative-led coalition of Antonis Samaras, for failing to submit a declaration of assets ("pothen esches") form.

Former finance minister Gikas Hardouvelis of the conservative New Democracy  party is the latest in a line of Greek lawmakers being examined by the parliamentary committee responsible for auditing MPs’ wealth declarations. His wealth statement has been refered to Justice for further examination, parliamentary sources said on Tuesday.

The Assets Testing Committee of Greek Parliament has decided to conduct further investigation into the wealth assets declarations of two Radical Left Coalition (SYRIZA) ministers – Economy Minister George Stathakis and State Minister Alekos Flambouraris.

The international press is focused on Greece’s negotiations with the International Monetary Fund, European Commission and European Central Bank. The Guardian focused on the warning issued by Bank of Greece Governor Yiannis Stournaras who wrote a report stating that Greece was on the brink of an “uncontrollable crisis”.
