City Hall's anti-graffiti campaign reaches Monastiraki
A project aimed at removing graffiti from the city center reached Monastiraki Square on Tuesday, where Athens Mayor Giorgos Kaminis noted that the campaign, which was launched last year, had the goal of keeping the city clean in association with local organizations and residents.
Incumbent Athens mayor chides rival over remarks
Athens Mayor Giorgos Kaminis on Friday chided Aris Spiliotopoulos, his New Democracy rival in Mays local elections, after the deputy likened Athens to Kabul in the wake of Thursdays bomb explosion outside the Bank of Greece.
He is undermining the citys effort to improve in terms of tourism, Kaminis said on Skai Radio.

City Hall announces creation of Athens's first bike lane
As the capital prepares for the annual Cycling Tour of Athens fun race, this year scheduled for Sunday, April 6, municipal authorities on Wednesday announced plans to create the first bike lane connecting Gazi and Akadimia Platonos (Platos Academy) via Monastiriou Street.
